Chris Choo has more than twenty years of experience in the audit and financial industry, of which he has experience with Public Interest Entities and MNC, working in auditing, accounting, finance and risk management. He holds the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) qualification and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK).
Chris Choo started his career in 1993 with Deloitte Singapore prior to joining Mazars Singapore (formerly known as Moores Rowland) in November 2006 and become a partner in May 2007 before he left in February 2014 to set up the Wellton network. He is also a principal advisor for listed and non-listed companies.
Chris Choo has led and supervised a team to oversee the audit engagements, IPO projects, due diligence assignments and consultancy works, including valuation, internal and external audit and various corporate advisory engagement. He was also an appointed risk assessment and Human Resource partner during his tenure in Mazars Singapore. As Principal Consultant and Partner, Chris is in-charge of the corporate consultancy including merger and acquisition, audit and other financial advisory. He is also responsible for formulating marketing strategies and is the driver for business development. In 2007 to 2009, he was an active member of the Financial Statement Review committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore.
His experience includes extensive audit and assurance experience spanning a range of industries including public companies, multinational, not-for-profit organisations and the private sector. Industry experience includes manufacturing, semiconductor, constructions, hospitality, statutory boards, retail, electronics, shipping and pension schemes. He has experience in assisting companies going for Initial Public Offering in SGX-ST and was also the engagement partner for several companies listed in SGX-ST and US SEC registrant.
